My most memorable experience was the semester exchange during Spring 2023. It was my first time leaving home - I never imagined myself leaving home for half a year, living on my own, and even travelling independently. During the exchange, I took free electives studying courses on philosophy, war studies, and theology [which] were very eye-opening. I also took the opportunity to travel across Europe as much as I could and learned much more about the history and culture of different countries. The exchange truly enlightened me, I learned to take on adventures, actively explore, and try to keep an open mind.

"Don't be afraid of giving up" As a freshman, I was not able to explore and utilize university resources. I feared failing to achieve certain objectives and giving up which stopped me from trying new things and ultimately, I did not explore as much as I wished. As time passed by, I realized giving up is not something bad for us. Admitting that somethings no longer interest me or is no longer needed in my later career, and with the spirit of not feared of giving up, I was able to be open-minded to new opportunities.

"Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom" - Aristotle is one of the quotes I resonated with. ... Only through having a thorough understanding of myself, when facing hardships, I face my weaknesses honestly and take accountability for myself without being overly stressed or doubtful of my ability.
